If you want the quality of doors and windows to meet the standard, you must first focus on these five key points!
In order to ensure that the technical requirements for exterior doors and windows are clarified during the project design, procurement, and construction processes, and that the performance requirements for wind pressure resistance, water tightness, air tightness, thermal insulation, sound insulation, lighting, and safety are met, and to avoid common problems in exterior door and window projects. It happens repeatedly. Let me share with you the five key points of door and window quality control.
1. Sealing requirements
1) Corner sealing strip (glue angle): The sealing strip should avoid corner splicing, and the corner sealing strip should be designed as a 90-degree integral glue angle.
2) Frame sash sealing strip: Three sealing strips should be designed for the opening of the sash, namely the main sealing strip, the sash edge strip and the frame edge strip.

2. Anti-leakage requirements
1) External windows must be equipped with drainage channels, drainage outlets, and exhaust holes (air pressure balance holes) to drain water accumulated in the window frame. A buckle cover should be installed outside the drain outlet to prevent strong wind from blowing rainwater and dust into the window sash.
2) The thermal insulation strips should adopt a C-shaped structure and be composited with the inner and outer aluminum profiles on the same level to avoid leakage and corrosion risks caused by water accumulation at the thermal insulation strips. At the same time, the length of the thermal insulation strips can be increased to improve the thermal performance.
3) Door and window opening size: Structural openings should not be too large to avoid leakage risks caused by difficulty in sealing.
4) Tongue and groove: Due to special reasons for window openings, such as the exterior wall being a stone curtain wall, a large reserved size is required for the opening. It is recommended that the structural opening be made of tongue and groove, and the tongue and groove should be poured at the same time as the concrete wall.
5) Exterior window sills: For buildings whose exterior wall materials are painted, it is recommended to use metal window sills. The inner side of the metal window sill plate should be pressed into the window frame, and the outer side should protrude from the wall for dripping.
6) Window frame and structural opening: The window frame should be installed in the middle. If it is installed on the outside, it should be retracted 20mm inward to prevent structural construction errors from causing the window frame to be installed outside the outer skin of the structure, causing rainwater leakage.
3. Frame fan structural requirements
1) Corner assembly: Corner assembly is an important process related to the integrity of doors and windows.
2) Glue process: Generally, the corner code + corner glue process should be used. It is forbidden to extrusion molding the window corners without gluing.
3) Glue injection process: Corner assembly can also use corner codes + glue guide grooves + glue injection holes + two-component glue injection + corner piece technology to ensure the strength requirements of the corners and ensure that the finished doors and windows will not be deformed or shifted after transportation and installation. the emergence of phenomena.
4. Thermal insulation requirements
1) Cavity design of the profile: The profile should adopt a multi-cavity structure to reduce heat loss. At the same time, the top and bottom of the exterior window insulation components should be coplanar to form an overall heat insulation surface, eliminate cold bridges, and block heat loss channels.
2) Insulating strips should be installed in the glass installation slot: increase the number of air chambers, reduce heat loss between the perimeter of the insulating glass and the profile, and improve the thermal insulation effect of the entire window.
3) The window sash should be designed with T-shaped heat insulation strips: The window sash heat insulation strips are designed to be T-shaped and overlap with the middle rubber strip to achieve hot and cold partitioning at the connection of the sash frame. It is prohibited to place the middle strip directly on the aluminum profile of the fan.
4) The heat insulation strips should be made of polyamide 66 (Polyamide 66, commonly known as nylon 66).
5) Glass warm edge strips: Warm edge strips should be installed around the double-layer insulating glass cavity to block the heat dissipation channel of the glass cavity.
6) In areas with high heat transfer coefficient requirements, thermal insulation materials can be added to the profile insulation cavity according to the project positioning to meet the K value requirements.
7) Exterior door: The external swing door leading to the garden on the first floor of the residence should have a threshold. It is prohibited to not have a threshold. The bottom of the door should be closed with a brush. For residents on the first floor of a house, the double-leaf external swing doors leading to the garden should overlap and overlap after closing. It is forbidden to leave any gap in the middle and close it with a brush.
5. Safety technical requirements
1) Glass buckle: The glass buckle should be installed on the indoor side. It is prohibited to flip the inner-opening window into an outward-opening window so that the buckle is installed on the outdoor side to ensure the requirements of anti-theft, safety, and glass replacement, without leaving any hidden danger of leakage. .
2) Lock points: In order to improve the wind pressure resistance and anti-theft performance of exterior windows, multi-point locks should be used for exterior windows. The locking point setting should meet the requirements of the hardware manufacturer's design and installation manual.
3) The size of the outer door at the unit entrance should not be too large to ensure the reliability of hinges and other hardware accessories and avoid safety accidents.
